Upon arrival at Kushiro Airport, begin your Hokkaido adventure with a visit to the Kushiro Washo Ichiba Market (釧路和商市場), one of Eastern Hokkaido’s most famous seafood markets offering an array of fresh local produce and seafood. After lunch Japanese Cuisine] at a local restaurant, continue to Akan International Crane Center [GRUS] (阿寒国際ツルセンター), where you can observe the elegant red-crowned cranes, a symbol of longevity and one of Japan’s most treasured birds. Thereafter, transfer to hotel for check-in and dinner [Kaiseki].

Upon arrival at New Chitose Airport, transfer to Shikotsu Lake Ice Festival (支笏湖氷濤まつり), where magnificent ice sculptures illuminated in vibrant colors created a magical winter wonderland. After, proceed to Sapporo for hotel check in. This evening, indulge in a Crab Course Dinner at Sapporo Kaniya, featuring various dishes prepared with fresh, locally-sourced crab.

After breakfast, experience one of Hokkaido’s most popular winter activities with a Smelt Fishing Experience at Lake Akan. Try your hand at catching smelt fish through holes drilled in the ice. This traditional winter activity is both fun and rewarding, and you can enjoy the serene beauty of the frozen lake. Continue to Sand Bath “Sunayu” Experience and Swans at Kussharo Lake, where you can enjoy the unique Sunayu Sand Bath and admire the graceful swans that winter along the lakeshore. After lunch [Okhotsk Seafood Gozen] at a local restaurant, visit Oshinkoshin Water Fall (オシンコシンの滝), one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls, before taking in panoramic views of the Sea of Okhotsk from Puyuni Cape (プユニ岬). Later, enjoy the thrilling Drift Ice Walk Experience (流氷体験), where you can walk atop the drift ice that arrives from Siberia each winter. Thereafter, transfer to Shiretoko for hotel check-in and dinner [Buffet].

This morning, travel to Otaru Sakaimachi Street (小樽堺町通り), a charming historical district lined with quaint shops, cafes and glass workshops. Stroll along the picturesque Otaru Canal (小樽運河) and visit the Otaru Music Box Museum (小樽オルゴール堂),
where you can enjoy a Music Box Making Experience. After lunch [Aburiyaki] at a local restaurant, proceed to Shiroi Koibito Park (白い恋人パーク), a delightful chocolate-themed attraction inspired by European architecture. Finally, transfer back to hotel and the rest of the evening will be free at leisure with dinner at your own arrangement.

After lunch [Kaisendon] at a local restaurant, visit Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Museum (オホーツク流氷館), where interactive exhibits showcase the fascinating drift ice phenomenon and the unique ecosystem it supports. This morning, begin the day with shopping at Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo Kitahiroshima (三井アウトレットパーク札幌北広島), one of Hokkaido’s largest outlet malls featuring a wide range of local and international brands. Lunch will be at your own arrangement here. Continue to Roadside Station Biei Shirogane Biruke (道の駅びえい白金ビルケ) before visiting the famous Blue Pond (青い池), known for its stunning cobalt-blue waters and picturesque winter scenery. Thereafter, transfer to Asahikawa for hotel check-in and dinner [Japanese Course].

After breakfast, visit Abashiri Prison Museum (博物館網走監獄), an open-air museum that preserves the original prison buildings and offers insight into Hokkaido’s pioneering history.
