JR Kansai Area Rail Pass covers major Kansai area like Kansai International Airport, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Kobe, Himeji, Wakayama and Otsu. It provides 1, 2, 3 or 4 consecutive days of unlimited train ride with reserved seats(up to 2 times). The pass is applicable for Kansai-airport express HARUKA, special rapid services, rapid services, and local trains on JR west conventional lines and West Japan JR buses within the valid routes(exclude expressway buses). It is not applicable for other Express Trains except Kansai-airport express HARUKA, special rapid "A Seat" paid seating service and Shinkansen(Bullet train).
Get unlimited rides for one day on each trains run by Kyoto City Subway, Keihan Railway, or Hankyu Railway!

- Eligible for foreign tourist entering in Japan as a "Temporay Visitor" for sight-seeing, and has a passport(issued by a foreign government) stamped with status under “Temporary Visitor”.
- Please note that according to strict interpretation of the Japanese Immigration Law, “Temporary visitor” status differs even from other types of stays that are also for only short time periods.
- Japanese passport holders can NOT use this pass. (May require to present passport and documents for verification purpose)
- ONLY allowed for original Exchange Orders which have not activated are allowed for refund within 12 months from the issuance date. Exchange order is totally non-refundable once exchanged and used.
The refund process will take approximately 2 months or more to be completed.
To exchange date of the pass, once the pass has been obtained, can no longer be changed.

Shin-Osaka Station East Ticket Plaza Office, daily from 5:30AM to 11:30PM
Osaka Station Ticket Office. daily from 5:30AM to 11PM
Kansai Airport Station Ticket Office, daily from 5:30AM to 11PM
Sannomiya Station Tickets Office, daily from 5:30AM to 11PM
Nara Station Tickets Office, daily from 6:30AM to 10PM
Wakayama Station Ticket Office, daily from 5:30AM to 10PM
The pass is valid for :
- The pass is valid from Kansai Airport, Osaka, Shin-Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Otsu, Wakayama in the East to Himeji and Kobe in the West.
- 1 Day Pass for Kyoto City Subway, Keihan Railway and Hankyu Railway (can be used only within the validity period of the Kansai Area Pass)
- Reserved seats on Kansai-airport Express HARUKA
- Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines
- WEST JAPAN JR BUS route buses within the valid area (The pass cannot be used on expressway buses).
The pass is NOT valid for:
- Shinkansen(Bullet trains).
- Both reserved and non-reserved seats on all Express Trains (exclude Kansai-airport Express HARUKA) are not included in the pass.
- The Special Rapid "A Seat" paid seating Service is not included in the pass (additional fees apply).
- No additional fee is required when reserving seats for Ordinary cars (up to 2 times only).
- Non-reserved Ordinary cars can be accessed freely.
- Additional fees and seperate tickets are required if traveling by Kansai-airport Express HARUKA, express train and local services under first class (Green cars).
- When receiving a Kansai Area Pass, vouchers for Kyoto City Subway, Keihan Railway, and Hankyu Railway will also be provided.

・Unavailable seats due to full occupancy shall not be subject to refunds. - It is a personal pass. Make sure to bring your passport when using the Pass as station and train staff may check it.
- The starting date of the rail pass and the duration cannot be changed after purchasing
- Adult / Child rail pass holder can accompany up to 2 infants (1-5 years old) for free.
- The infants from the third one will require Child's rail passes for each.
- Babies aged under 1 year old can be accompanied for free.
- Child's rail passes will be required for each infant in the following situations:
*When accompanied infants use Reserved seats by themselves
*When infants travel by themselves
