Upon arrival at Memanbetsu Airport, coach transfer to the Lake Saroma Wakka Wild Flower Garden (ワッカ原生花園). It is the largest coastal grassland in Japan that faces the Sea of Okhotsk. Every year, it is a bloom with over 300 different species of seasonal wildflowers. Some unique varieties include ezo engosaku, Siberian lilies, rugose roses and glasswort. Day 3 Lake Saroma – Wakkanai サロマ湖 - 稚内

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Kutcharo (クッチャロ湖). One of the largest lakes in Northern Hokkaido, it is a place of unspoiled nature that is home to a variety of creatures such as the white-tailed eagle, swans and ducks. After that, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Scallop Set]. After lunch, we will visit Cape Soya (宗谷岬). Located at the northernmost point of Hokkaido, you can see Russia from the lookout point on clear days. There are several monuments here such as a musical monument, Tower of Prayer and Akebono. Next, visit The Northernmost White Path (白い道). Paved with crushed scallop shells, a by-product of Soya Scallops, and a delicacy in the city. The contrast of whites, blues and greens makes for magnificent scenery. Following that, we will be visiting Cape Noshappu (ノシャップ岬). The northernmost cape of Hokkaido offers not just a panoramic view of Mt. Rishiri and Rebun Island, but also a prime spot to watch the sunset. The Wakkanai Lighthouse which is the second tallest lighthouse in Japan is also located nearby. Finally, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Seafood Meal] at a local restaurant.
Day 4 Wakkanai – Rishiri 稚内- 利尻島

After breakfast, visit Hokumon Shrine (北門神社). The northernmost shrine in Japan serves about 18,000 households and is said to promote fertility. The shrine offers unique omikuji that come in crab-shaped holders. Next, head to Northern Breakwater Dome (稚内港北防波堤ドーム). One of the iconic buildings of Wakkanai Port, it was built to prevent accidents caused by frequent tidal waves, the pattern is reminiscent of ancient Roman architecture. Thereafter, we will take the ferry to Rishiri Island and enjoy your lunch [Seafood Menu] at a local restaurant upon arrival. After lunch, we will explore the island on an easy hike. The first stop is Himenuma, a man-made pond at the foot of Mt. Rishiri that is popular for its clear reflection of the mountain. Another pond we will be visiting is Otatomari-numa. It offers a different view of the mountain as a splendid backdrop. Lastly, Senhoshi Misaki Park. You will get incredible views of the clear sea and imposing mountain with an abundance of unique rocks that formed after a volcanic eruption. Along the shore, you might be able to feed seals and see wild kelp and sea urchins. After, visit North Canary Park (北のカナリアパーク), a park which was was used as a filming location for the Japanese movie ‘Canaries of the North’ and inside the school building built for the movie, you can find anecdotes from the movie. Continue with a Sea Urchin Harvesting Experience at Kamui Park (神居海岸パーク) where you get to go out on a boat and collect sea urchins from the ocean. Finally, transfer to thehotel and check-in. Tonight, dinner [Japanese Cuisine] will be served at the hotel restaurant.
Day 5 Rishiri – Rebun 利尻島 - 礼文島

After breakfast, we will board the ferry to Rebun Island. This afternoon, your lunch [Sea Urchin Bowl] will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will explore the various sights such as Cape Sukai and Cape Sukoton. At the Momodai-Nekodai Observatory, you will get a great view of oddly shaped rocks towering over the beautiful ocean, as well as the rich flora such as alpine flowers, which are in full bloom during your visit! Finally, transfer to the hotel for check-in and dinner [Japanese Cuisine with Fresh Sea Urchins].
Day 6 Rebun – Asahikawa 礼文島 - 旭川

This morning, we will take the ferry back to Wakkanai Port and stop at the Wakkanai Sub Port Market (稚内副港市場), where you can get fresh seafood and various souvenirs. After that, have lunch [Sukiyaki] at a local restaurant. Thereafter, visit the Sarobetu Wetland Center (小樽青の洞窟クルーズ). Learn about the rich environment of the Sarobetsu Wetland which is home to 100 different kinds of flowers and wild birds. You can also wander along the wooden path and spot the flora and fauna you learned about. At the end of the day, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Cuisine] at the hotel restaurant.
Day 7 Asahikawa – Furano - Asahikawa 旭川- 富良野 - 旭川

This morning, visit Shikisai no Oka (四季彩の丘) 🌸, a four seasons flower garden on a hill carpeted with flowers from April to October. During your visit, flowers such as tulips, hyacinths and pansies are in peak viewing season. Next, lunch [Buffet] will be served at a local restaurant before we visit the next flower field, Farm Tomita(ファーム富田)🌸, one of Hokkaido’s most popular flower fields. In bloom this season, are flowers such as violets, poppies, hyacinths and more. Following that, visit Yoshida Farm (吉田ファーム). This local farm just south of Furano grows melon, sweet corn, watermelon, potatoes, and makes their own original melon ice cream, which you can purchase in a melon bowl. Finally, transfer back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening free and easy. Dinner will be under your own arrangement.
Day 8 Asahikawa – Tokyo 旭川- 東京
