Upon arrival at Kushiro Airport, coach transfer to Akkeshi Conchiglie (厚岸味覚ターミナルコンキリエ) for lunch at your own arrangement. Your sightseeing begins at Cape Nosappu (納沙布岬), the easternmost point of the mainland Japan, offering clear views of Kunashiri, Shikotan, and the Habomai Islands. Continue to Swan 44 (道の駅スワン44ねむろ), an all-glass roadside station along the Route 44, known for viewing red-crowned cranes and whopper swans, as well as local specialty products. Nearby lies Lake Furen (風蓮湖), one of Japan’s major swan-landing sites and a well-loved birdwatching haven, home to over 330 bird species. After the visit, transfer to hotel for check-in and dinner [Japanese Course].

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Mashu Daiichi Observatory (摩周湖) for panoramic views of one of Japan’s clearest lakes. Continue to Mt Io “Atosa-nupuri” (硫黄山) to observe its active fumaroles and striking yellow sulfur crystals. After lunch [Mashu Pork Rice Bowl] at a local restaurant, visit Lake Kussharo (屈斜路湖). Japan’s largest caldera lake famous for its hot-sand “Sunayu” (砂湯) where natural hot spring water rises when you dig into the sand. Next, stop by Oshinkoshin Falls (オシンコシンの滝), also known as the “Twin Beauties Waterfall” because the stream splits into two streams as it cascades down. Finally, transfer to the hotel to check-in and dinner [Buffet].

After breakfast, begin the day with a cruise on the Shiretoko Sightseeing Ship Aurora “Rusha Bay Route” (知床観光船オーロラ). In the evening, enjoy a performance of Ainu Ancient Ceremonial Dance (アイヌの古式舞踊), a ritual performed to show respect and gratitude to the kamuy (gods or spirits) and ancestors.

After breakfast, join the Lake Akan Sightseeing Cruise.The cruise offers views of the lake’s scenic coastline and the chance to see marimo, the rare spherical algae. When the weather is clear, you may also enjoy beautiful vistas of Mt. Meakan and Mt. Oakan. After lunch [Western-style Cuisine] at a local restaurant, visit Manabe Garden (真鍋庭園), Japan’s first conifer garden, showcasing well-established trees and rare plant species dating back to early Hokkaido development. Continue to Ryugetsu Sweetpia Garden (龍月スイートピアガーデン), where you can explore the factory and shop for its famous Sanporoku Baumkuchen. Finally, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Dinner will be at your own arrangement.

After breakfast, ascend to the famous Unkai Terrace (雲海テラス), renowned for its “sea of clouds” view. After enjoying the breathtaking views, check out of the hotel and depart for your next stop, Ningle Terrace (ニングルテラス), a charming forest walkway lined with artisan cottages. After lunch [Western-style Cuisine] at a local restaurant, visit Farm Tomita (ファーム富田), one of Hokkaido’s most iconic flower fields known for lavender and colorful seasonal blooms. Next, stop at Biei Shirogane Blue Pond (青い池), celebrated for its natural mineral-rich cobalt blue water. Finally, transfer to hotel for check-in and dinner [Japanese Course].

Afterwards, transfer to hotel for check-in. This evening, enjoy your dinner during your own free & easy time in Asahikawa.
